BANTUGAN| China temporarily banned the entry of foreigners from at least eight countries due to COVID-19. China banned the entry of the foreigners from Russia, France, Italy, The United Kingdom, Belgium, India, Bangladesh and the Philippines as the health authorities of China reported 30 new imported cases, including 15 from Shanghai which brought the total number of 3,510 imported cases during the pandemic. Foreigners from the 8 virus-hit countries are banned from entering the country, even if they hold a valid visa or residence permit from China. China has implemented strict measures to block against new infections from abroad. Looking back, the COVID-19 virus originated in China, particularly in Wuhan. And after a few months since the outbreak, they have successfully controlled the transmission of the virus. Currently, China is no longer listed among the top countries with most cases of COVID-19, even though the virus originated from the said country.
