BANTUGAN| In-person class might push through considering areas with "minimal" risk

As the Department of Education hold classes through online and modular platforms to reduce transmission of the Novel Corona Virus 2019, the Department of Health (DOH) expressed that the government might consider the resumption of personal classes once there is only "minimal" risk for both students and teachers to contract the Corona Virus.

Health undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that should the health risk to both teachers and students be lessened to "minimal", they, together with the Interagency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), may come to a decision to resume face-to-face learning. However, "there should be risk of transmission of Covid 19 in communities in the coming months in order for the in-person classes to resume." Vergeire added.
